Holland Conservation Commission
Minutes of Commission meeting held on August 28, 2007.
Present: Mary vandenBerg, Chairperson, Steven Anderstrom, Patricia Caron, Howard Fife and Rolf Hilbig. Absent: James Wettlaufer.
7:00 p.m. Chairperson called the meeting to order.
The minutes of August 21, 2007 were read and accepted and will be distributed.
Mary vandenBerg reported:
Aquatic Control Technology (ACT) by fax informed Christine Haller of the Hamilton Reservoir Association (HRA) that the chemical, Glyphosate, will be used on Hamilton Reservoir on 9-4-2007 (tentatively) with a rain date of 9-5-2007. Christine Haller, along with the fax informed the HCC that posters provided by ACT will be posted at the ramps, Holland Market, Town Hall and at the sites designated for treatment.
The HCC received 2 letters sent by the Boston Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, Department of Environmental Protection in the matter of Northeast Concepts -
1) Recommended Final Decision – Background;
2) Final Decision
Procedure Sheet #2007(6)-1208 issued to Ernest M. Riley of 62 Sturbridge Rd., Map R-21-B-03 to construct an unattached 28’ x 36’ 2-bay garage containing a full bath and a septic system approved by the Board of Health. Motion was made to approve the project. All were in favor. Mary vandenBerg signed the Procedure Sheet with the condition that hay bails or silt fence be placed lakeside.
The Town Clerk will be notified of the following: Due to the fact that Jack Keough will be on vacation and not be available to dispense Procedure Sheets, there will be no HCC meeting on September 4th. On September 11th the HCC will meet as an Advisory Board only. On September 18th, lacking a quorum, there will be no meeting.
Motion to adjourn was made, seconded and approved by all. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
